The Alan Parsons Project was a British progressive rock band formed in 1975 by Alan Parsons and Eric Woolfson. Alan Parsons, a well-known audio engineer and producer, was responsible for the technical side of the band's music production, while Eric Woolfson composed the majority of the music and wrote the lyrics. The band's music was characterized by its concept albums that often explored themes such as science fiction, fantasy, and psychology.


The Alan Parsons Project released a string of successful albums in the 1970s and 1980s, including "Tales of Mystery and Imagination" (1976), "I Robot" (1977), and "Eye in the Sky" (1982). Their music was known for its lush orchestration, intricate arrangements, and sophisticated production techniques. The band enjoyed commercial success with hits like "Eye in the Sky" and "Don't Answer Me."
