The Alan Parsons Project was a British progressive rock band formed in 1975 by Alan Parsons and Eric Woolfson. Alan Parsons, a renowned audio engineer and producer, had previously worked on albums by The Beatles and Pink Floyd. The band's music was characterized by its concept albums, lush arrangements, and incorporation of synthesizers and electronic elements.
The Alan Parsons Project released numerous successful albums during the 1970s and 1980s, including "Tales of Mystery and Imagination" (1976), "I Robot" (1977), and "Eye in the Sky" (1982). Their biggest hit was the single "Eye in the Sky," which reached the top of the charts in several countries. Despite never touring as a full band, The Alan Parsons Project gained a loyal following and critical acclaim for their innovative sound and thought-provoking lyrics. After disbanding in the late 1980s, Alan Parsons continued to work as a producer and engineer on various projects.
