The Ames Brothers were a popular singing group in the 1950s and 1960s consisting of four siblings: Ed, Gene, Vic, and Joe. They were known for their close harmonies and smooth vocal style. The group was formed in Malden, Massachusetts, and began performing together in the late 1940s.
The Ames Brothers had numerous hits on the Billboard charts, including "Rag Mop," "Sentimental Me," and "You, You, You." They were also regular performers on television shows such as The Ed Sullivan Show and The Tonight Show. The group's success continued into the 1960s before disbanding in the early 1970s. The Ames Brothers were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 1998.
