Artist Bio:
The Animals were an English rock band formed in Newcastle upon Tyne in 1962. The original lineup consisted of Eric Burdon (vocals), Alan Price (keyboards), Hilton Valentine (guitar), Chas Chandler (bass), and John Steel (drums). They were known for their raw and energetic sound, which was influenced by rhythm and blues and rock and roll.

The Animals achieved commercial success with hits like "House of the Rising Sun," "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood," and "We Gotta Get Out of This Place." They were part of the British Invasion of the United States in the mid-1960s and were one of the most popular bands of the era. The Animals disbanded in 1968 but have had various reunions over the years. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994.
