Artist Bio:
The Animals were a British rock band formed in Newcastle upon Tyne in the early 1960s. The band achieved commercial success in both the United Kingdom and the United States with their raw, gritty sound and energetic live performances. They are best known for their hit songs such as "House of the Rising Sun," "We Gotta Get Out of This Place," and "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood."

The Animals were pioneers of the British Invasion of the US music scene, along with bands like The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. Their music drew from a variety of genres, including blues, R&B, and rock, and their powerful vocals and dynamic instrumentation set them apart from their contemporaries. The band went through several lineup changes over the years before disbanding in the late 1960s, but their influence on rock music continues to be felt to this day.
