Artist Bio:
The Animals were an English rock band formed in Newcastle upon Tyne in the early 1960s. They were known for their raw and gritty sound, which was a mix of blues, R&B, and rock music. The band achieved commercial success in both the UK and the US with hits such as "House of the Rising Sun," "We Gotta Get Out of This Place," and "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood."

The Animals were part of the British Invasion in the United States and were considered one of the leading bands of the British R&B movement. The original lineup consisted of Eric Burdon (vocals), Alan Price (keyboards), Hilton Valentine (guitar), Chas Chandler (bass), and John Steel (drums). The band went through various lineup changes over the years before disbanding in 1968. Despite their relatively short career, The Animals left a lasting impact on the music industry and are remembered as one of the pioneering bands of the British Invasion era.
