The Applejacks were a British pop band formed in Solihull, England in 1961. The band's original lineup consisted of Al Jackson (vocals), Martin Baggott (lead guitar), Phil Cash (rhythm guitar), Megan Davies (bass guitar), and Gerry Freeman (drums). They gained popularity in the early 1960s with their catchy pop tunes and harmonious vocal arrangements.
In 1964, The Applejacks achieved their biggest success with the single "Tell Me When," which reached number seven on the UK Singles Chart. Despite their initial success, the band struggled to maintain their popularity and disbanded in 1971. The Applejacks are remembered as one of the pioneering bands of the British Invasion era, paving the way for other British pop acts to achieve international success.
