The Art of Noise was a British avant-garde synth-pop group formed in 1983 by producer Trevor Horn, music journalist Paul Morley, and session musicians Gary Langan and J.J. Jeczalik. They were known for their innovative use of sampling and electronic sounds in their music.
In 1988, The Art of Noise collaborated with Welsh singer Tom Jones on the song "Kiss," a cover of the Prince hit. The collaboration was a commercial success, reaching the top ten in the UK and several other countries. The Art of Noise Featuring Tom Jones also released a music video for the song, which received critical acclaim for its unique visual style. The collaboration showcased the eclectic and experimental nature of both artists, blending Jones' powerful vocals with The Art of Noise's electronic production techniques.
