The Artistics were an American R&B vocal group formed in 1963 in Chicago, Illinois. The original members of the group were lead vocalist Robert Dobyne, tenor vocalist Jesse Bolian, baritone vocalist Larry Johnson, and bass vocalist Aaron Floyd. They are best known for their hits in the 1960s and 1970s, including "I'm Gonna Miss You" and "Girl I Need You." The group was signed to Okeh Records and later Brunswick Records, where they released several albums and singles.
The Artistics' music was characterized by smooth harmonies, soulful vocals, and catchy melodies, which helped them gain popularity in the R&B music scene. They were active in the music industry for over a decade before disbanding in the mid-1970s.
