The Barbarians were an American rock band formed in Cape Cod, Massachusetts in 1964. The band's original members were Jerry Causi, Victor "Moulty" Moulton, Bruce Benson, Geoff Morris, and Ronnie Enos. They were known for their energetic live performances and their hit single "Are You a Boy or Are You a Girl," which peaked at number 55 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1966.

The Barbarians gained popularity for their raw sound and rebellious image, often performing in matching outfits and sporting long hair. They were part of the garage rock movement of the 1960s and were signed to Laurie Records.
