Artist Bio:
The Barbusters was a short-lived band formed by Joan Jett in 1981. The group consisted of members of the future Blackhearts lineup, including Jett herself, Thommy Price, and Gary Ryan. They released a single album titled "Bad Reputation" under the name The Barbusters in 1983.
Following the release of the album, the band changed their name to Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, the name under which they achieved commercial success with hits like "I Love Rock 'n Roll" and "I Hate Myself for Loving You." The Barbusters' album "Bad Reputation" featured a mix of hard rock and punk sound, showcasing Jett's powerful vocals and the band's energetic performances. Although The Barbusters did not have the same level of success as Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, their brief collaboration laid the foundation for Jett's future musical endeavors.
