The group's original lineup consisted of brothers Brian, Dennis, and Carl Wilson, their cousin Mike Love, and friend Al Jardine. The Beach Boys are known for their intricate vocal harmonies and lyrics reflecting a Southern California youth culture of surfing, cars, and romance.
The band gained popularity for their hit songs such as "Surfin' U.S.A.," "I Get Around," and "Good Vibrations." They are considered one of the most influential acts of the rock era and have sold over 100 million records worldwide. The Beach Boys were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988 and continue to tour and perform, with Mike Love as the only original member still in the band.
