The Beach Boys are an American rock band formed in Hawthorne, California in 1961. The group's original lineup consisted of brothers Brian, Dennis, and Carl Wilson, their cousin Mike Love, and friend Al Jardine. The Beach Boys are known for their vocal harmonies and lyrics reflecting the California youth culture of the 1960s.


One of the most critically acclaimed and commercially successful bands of all time, The Beach Boys have sold over 100 million records worldwide. Their most famous hits include "Surfin' U.S.A.," "I Get Around," "California Girls," and "Good Vibrations." The group's album "Pet Sounds," released in 1966, is considered one of the greatest albums of all time and a key influence on the development of progressive and psychedelic rock. The Beach Boys were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988.
