The Beach Boys are an American rock band formed in Hawthorne, California in 1961. The group's original lineup consisted of brothers Brian, Dennis, and Carl Wilson, their cousin Mike Love, and friend Al Jardine. The Beach Boys are known for their close vocal harmonies and lyrics reflecting a Southern California youth culture of surfing, cars, and romance.


The band gained popularity for their innovative music and sophisticated vocal harmonies, becoming one of the most influential acts of the rock era. Some of their most famous hits include "Surfin' Safari," "I Get Around," "Good Vibrations," and "Wouldn't It Be Nice." The Beach Boys were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988 and continue to tour and perform to this day, with their music remaining a staple of the American pop music landscape.
