The Belmonts achieved their greatest success with their collaboration with singer Dion DiMucci, known professionally as Dion.

The Belmonts and Dion released several hit singles together, including "A Teenager in Love" and "Where or When." The group's music was characterized by a mix of doo-wop, rock and roll, and R&B influences. The Belmonts continued to perform and record music throughout the 1960s and beyond, with various lineup changes. Their music has left a lasting impact on the doo-wop genre and has influenced many artists in the rock and roll and pop music scenes.
