Artist Bio:
The Blades of Grass were an American folk-rock band formed in New York City in the mid-1960s. The group consisted of Bernie Kooper (vocals, guitar), John Micalizzi (vocals, guitar), Russ Bono (bass), and Joe DeChristopher (drums). They gained popularity for their harmonious vocal arrangements and melodic sound, which reflected the folk-rock trends of the era.

The Blades of Grass released their debut album, "The Blades of Grass Are Not for Smoking," in 1967. The album featured a mix of original songs and covers, including their most well-known single, a cover of the song "Happy." Despite their talent and growing fan base, The Blades of Grass disbanded in the late 1960s. However, their music continues to be appreciated by fans of the folk-rock genre.
