The Browns were a country and folk music trio consisting of siblings Maxine Brown, Bonnie Brown, and Jim Ed Brown. The group was formed in the 1950s and gained popularity in the country music scene during the 1960s. Their close vocal harmonies and unique blend of genres set them apart from other artists of the time.
Jim Ed Brown, the brother in the trio, also had a successful solo career in country music. He released several hit singles and albums throughout the 1960s and 1970s. Some of their most well-known songs include "The Three Bells" and "Scarlet Ribbons." The Browns Featuring Jim Edward Brown were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2015, recognizing their significant contributions to the country music genre.
