The Bubble Puppy was a psychedelic rock band formed in San Antonio, Texas in 1966. The band's original members were Rod Prince (guitar, vocals), Roy Cox (bass, vocals), Todd Potter (keyboards), and Clayton Miller (drums). They gained popularity in the late 1960s with their energetic live performances and unique blend of psychedelic and hard rock music.


The Bubble Puppy is best known for their hit song "Hot Smoke & Sasafrass," which reached number 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1969. The song featured intricate guitar work and catchy melodies that captured the essence of the psychedelic rock era.
