Artist Bio:
The Buckinghams were an American pop rock band formed in Chicago in 1966. The group gained popularity in the late 1960s with a string of hits, including their signature song "Kind of a Drag," which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1967. The band's sound was characterized by their tight harmonies, catchy melodies, and horn arrangements, inspired by the British Invasion bands of the time.

The Buckinghams continued to release music throughout the late 1960s and early 1970s, scoring several more hits such as "Don't You Care" and "Mercy, Mercy, Mercy." Despite lineup changes and shifts in musical trends, the band maintained a loyal fan base and continued to perform live. The Buckinghams were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2009, honoring their contributions to the pop rock music of the 1960s.
