The Buckinghams were an American rock band formed in Chicago in 1966. They were known for their sunshine pop and pop rock sound, with a mix of horns and strong vocal harmonies. The band's original members included Carl Giammarese, Dennis Tufano, Marty Grebb, Nick Fortuna, and Jon Jon Poulos.

Their biggest hit came in 1967 with the song "Kind of a Drag," which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The Buckinghams continued to have success with other hits such as "Don't You Care" and "Mercy, Mercy, Mercy." The band disbanded in 1970 but reunited in the 1980s and have continued to perform live shows over the years.
