Artist Bio:
The Butterflys was a short-lived American female pop trio formed in 1998. The group consisted of members Lila McCann, Alecia Elliott, and Kassidy Osborn. They were signed to DreamWorks Records and released their debut self-titled album in 1999. The album featured a mix of pop, country, and folk influences and produced the single "Kiss the Rain."
Despite receiving positive reviews from critics, The Butterflys disbanded shortly after the release of their album due to creative differences amongst the members. Following the breakup, each member pursued solo careers in the music industry. Lila McCann continued her country music career, Alecia Elliott released a solo album, and Kassidy Osborn went on to form the country music trio SheDaisy with her sisters. The Butterflys' brief time together left a mark on the pop music scene and their album remains a collector's item for fans of the group.
