Artist Bio:
The Byrds were an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1964. They are considered one of the most influential bands of the 1960s, known for their innovative fusion of folk music and rock and roll. The original lineup consisted of Roger McGuinn, David Crosby, Gene Clark, Chris Hillman, and Michael Clarke. They were pioneers of the folk rock genre, incorporating jangly guitars and vocal harmonies into their sound.

The Byrds achieved commercial success with hits such as "Mr. Tambourine Man" and "Turn! Turn! Turn!" which showcased their signature blend of folk and rock influences. They were also known for their psychedelic rock phase and were influential in the development of country rock. The band went through multiple lineup changes over the years but continued to release music until their final breakup in 1973. The Byrds were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1991.
