Artist Bio:
The Byrds were an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1964. They were pioneers of the folk rock genre and were known for their intricate vocal harmonies and jangly 12-string guitar sound. The original lineup consisted of Jim McGuinn, Gene Clark, David Crosby, Chris Hillman, and Michael Clarke.

The Byrds achieved commercial success with their cover of Bob Dylan's "Mr. Tambourine Man" and went on to have hits with songs like "Turn! Turn! Turn!" and "Eight Miles High." They were also influential in the development of psychedelic rock with their album "Fifth Dimension." The band went through various lineup changes over the years, with McGuinn being the only constant member. The Byrds were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1991 for their significant contributions to music.
