Artist Bio:
The Byrds were an American rock band formed in Los Angeles, California in 1964. They are considered one of the most influential bands of the 1960s, known for their innovative blend of folk, rock, and psychedelia. The original lineup consisted of Jim McGuinn, Gene Clark, David Crosby, Chris Hillman, and Michael Clarke. Their signature sound was characterized by McGuinn's jangly 12-string Rickenbacker guitar, tight harmonies, and thoughtful lyrics.

The Byrds are best known for their hit songs "Mr. Tambourine Man," "Turn! Turn! Turn!," and "Eight Miles High." They were pioneers in the development of folk rock and helped popularize psychedelic rock. The band went through numerous lineup changes over the years, with McGuinn being the only constant member. The Byrds were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1991, recognizing their lasting impact on the music industry.
