Artist Bio:
The Byrds were an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1964. They were known for their pioneering blend of folk rock, psychedelic rock, and country rock, and are considered one of the most influential bands of the 1960s. The original lineup consisted of Jim McGuinn, Gene Clark, David Crosby, Chris Hillman, and Michael Clarke. McGuinn's distinctive 12-string guitar playing and the band's harmonies were hallmarks of their sound.

The Byrds achieved commercial success with songs like "Mr. Tambourine Man," "Turn! Turn! Turn!," and "Eight Miles High." They were also known for their cover of Bob Dylan's "Mr. Tambourine Man," which became a hit single. The band underwent numerous lineup changes over the years, with McGuinn being the only constant member. The Byrds were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1991.
