Artist Bio:
The California Raisins were a fictional rhythm and blues animated musical group created for a marketing campaign by the California Raisin Advisory Board in the mid-1980s. The group was composed of anthropomorphized raisins with sunglasses, and they gained popularity through their claymation commercials featuring them singing and dancing to classic R&B songs. The campaign was successful, leading to the release of four studio albums and a Christmas special.

The California Raisins made several television appearances, including on various talk shows and in their own animated series. Their popularity peaked in the late 1980s, but eventually waned as the marketing campaign came to an end. Despite their brief time in the spotlight, the California Raisins remain a nostalgic symbol of 1980s pop culture and advertising.
