The Capris were an American doo-wop group formed in 1958 in Queens, New York. The group's original members included lead vocalist Nick Santo, Mike Mincieli, Frank Reina, Vinnie Narcardo, and John Cassese. They are best known for their 1961 hit song "There's a Moon Out Tonight," which reached number three on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song has since become a classic doo-wop standard and has been featured in various movies, TV shows, and commercials.
The Capris continued to perform and record music throughout the 1960s and 1970s, releasing several singles and albums. Despite several lineup changes over the years, the group maintained a loyal following and continued to perform live shows.
