The Cars achieved mainstream success in the late 1970s and 1980s with hit songs like "Just What I Needed," "My Best Friend's Girl," and "Drive." They released six studio albums during their career, with their self-titled debut album reaching platinum status. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018.
