The Castells were an American vocal group formed in 1961 in Santa Rosa, California. The original members of the group were Chuck Girard, Bob Ussery, and Judd Hamilton. Their music was characterized by close harmonies and vocal arrangements that blended pop, doo-wop, and R&B styles.
The Castells achieved their biggest success in 1962 with their hit single "Sacred". The song reached number 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and became their signature song. The group continued to release music throughout the 1960s, but they never matched the success of "Sacred".
