Artist Bio:
The Champs were an American rock and roll band known for their instrumental hit song "Tequila." Formed in 1958 in Los Angeles, the group consisted of members such as saxophonist Jim Seals, guitarist Dave Burgess, and drummer Gene Alden. Their unique sound combined elements of rock and roll, R&B, and Latin music, which helped them stand out in the music scene of the late 1950s and early 1960s.

"Tequila" was released in 1958 and became a major hit, reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song's catchy melody and infectious rhythm made it a classic instrumental track that is still popular today. Despite their success with "Tequila," The Champs struggled to replicate the song's commercial success and eventually disbanded in the early 1960s. Despite their short-lived career, The Champs left a lasting impact on the music industry with their unique blend of musical styles.
