The Chi-Lites are an American R&B/soul vocal group formed in Chicago in 1959. The group's original lineup consisted of Eugene Record, Robert "Squirrel" Lester, Clarence Johnson, and Marshall Thompson. They are best known for their string of hits in the 1970s, including "Oh Girl," "Have You Seen Her," and "Stoned Out of My Mind." Their music is characterized by smooth vocal harmonies and soulful melodies, often featuring lush orchestration. The Chi-Lites were known for their romantic ballads and socially conscious lyrics, addressing topics like love, heartbreak, and social issues.
Throughout their career, The Chi-Lites released over a dozen albums and scored numerous chart-topping singles. They were inducted into the Rhythm and Blues Music Hall of Fame in 2000.
