The Chi-Lites are an American R&B/soul vocal group formed in Chicago in 1959. The group's original lineup consisted of Eugene Record, Robert "Squirrel" Lester, Clarence Johnson, and Creadel "Red" Jones. They are best known for their string of hits in the 1970s, including "Oh Girl," "Have You Seen Her," and "Stoned Out of My Mind." The Chi-Lites were known for their smooth harmonies, soulful vocals, and romantic ballads that resonated with audiences during the era of soul music.
The Chi-Lites achieved commercial success and critical acclaim, with many of their songs reaching the top of the R&B and pop charts.
