The Chipmunks With David Seville were a fictional animated music group created by Ross Bagdasarian Sr. in 1958. The group consisted of three chipmunk characters - Alvin, Simon, and Theodore - who were known for their high-pitched voices. David Seville, also a fictional character, acted as their adoptive father and manager. The Chipmunks' most famous and successful single was "The Chipmunk Song (Christmas Don't Be Late)", which topped the charts and won three Grammy Awards in 1958.
