Artist Bio:
The Chordettes were an American female vocal group that originated in Sheboygan, Wisconsin in 1946. The group consisted of members Janet Ertel, Carol Buschmann, Dorothy Schwartz, Jinny Osborn, and Lynn Evans. They gained popularity in the 1950s with their close harmonies and sweet, melodic sound. The Chordettes are best known for their hit songs such as "Mr. Sandman" and "Lollipop," which both became chart-topping singles in the United States.

The Chordettes were one of the few successful female vocal groups of the 1950s, and they were known for their polished performances and charming stage presence. They disbanded in 1961, but their music continued to be popular through re-releases and covers by other artists. The Chordettes' legacy lives on as pioneers of the girl group sound and as influential figures in the history of popular music.
