Artist Bio:
The Chordettes were an American female vocal group that originated in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, in 1946. The original members of the group were Janet Ertel, Carol Buschmann, Dorothy Schwartz, and Jinny Osborn. They were known for their smooth harmonies and close vocal arrangements, often performing a cappella or with minimal instrumental accompaniment.

The Chordettes rose to fame in the 1950s with hits such as "Mr. Sandman" and "Lollipop" which became iconic songs of the era. They were one of the few successful female doo-wop groups of the time. The Chordettes disbanded in 1961 after achieving several chart-topping hits and making numerous television appearances. Despite their relatively short career, The Chordettes left a lasting impact on the music industry and are remembered as pioneers of the girl group genre.
