They gained national fame with their hit song "Mr. Sandman" in 1954, which reached the top of the charts.


The Chordettes continued to produce hits throughout the 1950s, including songs like "Lollipop" and "Born to Be with You." They also appeared on various television programs and performed live concerts across the United States. The group disbanded in 1961, but their music continued to be popular through re-releases and appearances in movies and commercials.
