Artist Bio:
The Cleftones were an American doo-wop group formed in Queens, New York, in 1955. The original members were Herb Cox, Warren Corbin, Charles James, William McClain, and Berman Patterson. They were known for their smooth harmonies and soulful vocals, which helped them achieve success in the doo-wop music scene of the 1950s and 1960s.
One of their most popular songs is "Heart and Soul," released in 1961, which peaked at number 18 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The Cleftones continued to perform and record music throughout the 1960s and 1970s, although they never quite reached the same level of commercial success as they did with "Heart and Soul." Despite this, they remain a respected and influential group in the doo-wop genre, known for their distinctive sound and timeless music.
