Artist Bio:
The Cleftones were an American doo-wop group formed in Queens, New York in 1955. The original members included Herb Cox, Warren Corbin, Charles James, and William McClain. They are best known for their hit song "Little Girl of Mine," which was released in 1956 and became a top 10 hit on the R&B charts. The group's smooth harmonies and soulful vocals helped them gain popularity in the doo-wop music scene of the 1950s and 1960s.


The Cleftones continued to release music throughout the 1960s, with other notable songs including "Heart and Soul" and "For Sentimental Reasons." They were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2001 in recognition of their contributions to the doo-wop genre. The Cleftones' music has continued to be celebrated and remembered as an important part of the doo-wop era.
