Artist Bio:
The Clique was a 1960s American garage rock band from Houston, Texas. The group formed in 1964 and was composed of members ranging in age from 12 to 15 years old. The band's lineup consisted of lead vocalist and guitarist B.J. Thomas, lead guitarist and vocalist Tommy Taylor, bassist and vocalist David Angel, keyboardist and vocalist Tim Norris, and drummer Hugh Washburn. They are best known for their hit single "Sugar on Sunday," which reached number 22 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1969.


The Clique's music was characterized by its infectious melodies, tight harmonies, and energetic performances. Despite their young age, the band received critical acclaim for their musicianship and songwriting abilities. The Clique disbanded in the early 1970s, but their music continues to be celebrated by fans of 1960s garage rock.
