Artist Bio:
The Contours were an American R&B singing group formed in Detroit, Michigan in 1959. They were best known for their hit song "Do You Love Me" which was released in 1962 and became a popular dance anthem. The song reached number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and has since been featured in various films, TV shows, and commercials.

The original lineup of The Contours included lead singer Billy Gordon, Sylvester Potts, Hubert Johnson, Joe Billingslea, and Billy Hoggs. They were signed to Motown Records and worked closely with producer and songwriter Berry Gordy. The Contours continued to perform and record music throughout the 1960s and 1970s, with various lineup changes over the years. Despite not achieving the same level of success as some of their Motown labelmates, The Contours remain a beloved group in the history of R&B and soul music.
