The Cookies were an American girl group formed in 1954 in Brooklyn, New York. The original members of the group were Dorothy Jones, Darlene McCrea, and Beulah Robertson. In 1961, Earl-Jean McCrea replaced Beulah Robertson, and the group continued as a trio.
The Cookies were known for their sweet harmonies and catchy pop songs. They achieved commercial success with hits such as "Chains" and "Don't Say Nothin' Bad (About My Baby)." The group also served as backing vocalists for various artists, including Ray Charles and Neil Sedaka. The Cookies disbanded in the mid-1960s, but their music continues to be celebrated for its contribution to the girl group genre of the era.
