The Crests were an American doo-wop group formed in the mid-1950s in New York City. The group was led by lead vocalist Johnny Maestro and included members Patricia Van Dross, Harold Torres, and JT Carter among others.
The Crests were one of the first interracial groups in the world of doo-wop music, with African American, Italian American, and Puerto Rican American members. They were known for their smooth harmonies and romantic ballads, which resonated with audiences in the late 1950s and early 1960s.
