Artist Bio:
The Critters were an American pop rock band formed in New York City in 1964. The band's original lineup consisted of lead vocalist and guitarist Don Ciccone, keyboardist and vocalist Chris Darway, drummer Jack Decker, bassist Jim Ryan, and guitarist Ken Gorka. They are best known for their hit single "Mr. Dieingly Sad" released in 1966, which reached number 17 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song was written by lead vocalist Don Ciccone and produced by Koppelman-Rubin Associates.

Following the success of "Mr. Dieingly Sad," The Critters released several more singles throughout the late 1960s, including "Younger Girl" and "Don't Let The Rain Fall Down On Me." The band's music was characterized by their catchy melodies and harmonies, often drawing comparisons to other popular bands of the era like The Beach Boys and The Byrds. The Critters disbanded in the early 1970s, but their music continues to be remembered and appreciated by fans of 1960s pop rock.
