The Critters were an American pop/rock band formed in New Jersey in 1964. The original members included Don Ciccone, Bob Podstawski, Jim Ryan, Ken Gorka, Chris Darway, and Jack Decker. They gained popularity in the mid-1960s with their harmonious vocal style and catchy melodies.
Their biggest hit was "Younger Girl" which reached number 42 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1966. The Critters also found success with other songs such as "Mr. Dieingly Sad" and "Don't Let the Rain Fall Down on Me." The band's music was characterized by a mix of folk-rock and pop influences. Despite not achieving major commercial success, The Critters are remembered as a part of the 1960s music scene and for their contributions to the pop/rock genre.
