The Crystals were an American girl group formed in 1960. They were one of the most successful groups of the early 1960s, known for their unique blend of pop, R&B, and doo-wop music. The group was originally signed to Phil Spector's label, Philles Records, and were known for their hits such as "He's a Rebel," "Da Doo Ron Ron," and "Then He Kissed Me."
The Crystals were known for their polished harmonies and strong lead vocals, particularly by lead singer Barbara Alston. The group experienced several lineup changes over the years but continued to release music and perform throughout the 1960s. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2011 for their contributions to the music industry.
