Artist Bio:
The Crystals were an American vocal group formed in 1961. They were one of the most successful girl groups of the 1960s and are known for hits such as "Da Doo Ron Ron" and "Then He Kissed Me." The group was originally signed to Phil Spector's label, Philles Records, and their sound was characterized by Spector's "Wall of Sound" production style.


The original members of The Crystals included Barbara Alston, Mary Thomas, Dolores "Dee Dee" Kenniebrew, Myrna Giraud, and Patricia Wright. The group went through various lineup changes over the years. The Crystals were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2011. Their music continues to be celebrated for its catchy melodies and iconic sound.
