The Cyrkle was an American rock and roll band formed in East Meadow, New York in 1961. The band was best known for their 1966 hit single "Red Rubber Ball," which reached number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song was written by Paul Simon of Simon & Garfunkel, and the band was signed to Columbia Records.
In addition to "Red Rubber Ball," The Cyrkle also had other charting singles such as "Turn-Down Day" and "I Wish You Could Be Here." The band toured with popular acts like The Beatles and The Beach Boys, and they were known for their catchy melodies and harmonies. The Cyrkle disbanded in 1968, but their music continues to be remembered and appreciated by fans of 1960s rock music.
