Artist Bio

Artist Bio:
The Cyrkle was an American rock and roll band formed in East Meadow, New York in 1965. The band's original lineup consisted of Don Dannemann, Tom Dawes, Marty Fried, and Earl Pickens. They were initially discovered by Brian Epstein, who was the manager of The Beatles, and were later signed to Columbia Records. The Cyrkle is best known for their hit single "Red Rubber Ball," which was co-written by Paul Simon of Simon & Garfunkel. The song reached number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1966.

The band also gained popularity with their song "Turn-Down Day" and their association with The Beatles, opening for them during their final U.S. tour in 1966. The Cyrkle disbanded in 1968 but left a lasting impact on the music scene of the 1960s with their infectious pop-rock sound and memorable hits.
