The DeCastro Sisters were a popular singing trio in the 1950s, comprised of Peggy, Cherie, and Babette DeCastro. They were known for their close harmonies and Latin-infused music style. The sisters gained fame with their hit song "Teach Me Tonight," which reached the top 5 on the Billboard charts in 1954. They also had other successful songs such as "Boom Boom Boomerang" and "It's Yours."
The DeCastro Sisters performed on television shows such as The Ed Sullivan Show and The Perry Como Show, and also appeared in films like The Big Beat. Despite their success, the group disbanded in the early 1960s. The DeCastro Sisters left a lasting impact on the music industry with their unique sound and stage presence.
