Artist Bio:
The Dells were an American R&B vocal group formed in 1952 in Harvey, Illinois. The group consisted of five members: Marvin Junior, Verne Allison, Johnny Funches, Chuck Barksdale, and Mickey McGill. They achieved their greatest success in the 1960s and 1970s with hits such as "Oh, What a Night," "Stay in My Corner," and "Give Your Baby a Standing Ovation."


The Dells were known for their smooth harmonies and powerful vocal performances, which set them apart in the R&B and soul music scenes. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004 and continued to perform and record music until the 2010s. The Dells left a lasting impact on the music industry and are remembered as one of the greatest vocal groups in American music history.
